PRESS RELEASE - YARDHAUS appoints Bill Valls as CDO

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, DEC. 19, 2024 -- YARDHAUS® appoints Bill Valls to new CDO role. Bill Valls, a veteran of Industrial Design, Product Development and Structural Packaging, with over 40 years of experience working with a broad range of clients and many business categories, has joined Plymouth Hardware, aka, YARDHAUS, in the role of Chief Design Officer.

Bill’s background encompasses a variety of strategic design services, including product development, structural packaging, and retail merchandising services and has led several teams in developing ‘ownable innovation’ for a variety of projects in the hardware and consumer goods categories. 

Understanding both customer and company needs from marketing and manufacturing perspectives has been a long-held focus for Bill, as well as developing a deep knowledge base in production materials and processes. Bill has worked with clients delivering design ideas and insights for such brands as Barilla, Best Buy, Boeing, Chiquita, Evenflo, Gorilla Glue, The Home Depot, Huffy, Pfizer, Stanley Black & Decker, Starbucks, and the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation. 

Mr Valls will work with our CEO, Michael Carpenter, to drive innovation and success in new product and accessory launches throughout 2025 and beyond. The Chief Design Officer oversees the development of all products from concept through the design process and on to final production.
